Pavel Kopřiva presents his project NANOFACE as „A new chapter in the history of portrait in the age of nanotechnology“ (2007) NANOFACE is video and photo document of an artistic experiment with nanofibres that are used in regenerative medicine. On the scale of the cell the nanofibers form scaffold that supports the tissue regeneration. In the artwork, active changes in the chemical and physical parameters of the electrospinning are used to alter the organization of nanofibres creating a nanoarchitecture of “artisctic scaffolds” as a new type of portrait technique.
